Standard Tents

When our family decided to open our private lodge to guests in 2021, this was where we started. Today, the Standard Tents are a token of Umkumbe Bush Lodge’s inception. Situated in the first part of the camp means that you are only a stone’s throw away from facilities like the bush gym, boma, curio shop and safari departure point.

Our original tents leave nothing to be desired. Offering a rustic charm, they are perfect for the adventurous traveller. Each Standard Tent is perched on a wooden deck with outdoor seating. Kick off your shoes, breathe in the fresh air, listen to the birds sing in the overhead canopy and simply relax.

Inside, you will find everything you need for a comfortable stay. The plush king-sized bed (convertible into two single beds) covered in crisp linen, mosquito net and aircon ensure a good night’s rest. To keep your space well organised, take advantage of the dressing table, drawers, luggage stands and small safe. You will also have a coffee station with a kettle at your disposal.

For added convenience, the Standard Tent is equipped with modern amenities. A private en-suite bathroom features a flush toilet, shower and a basin with warm, running water.
